"Secret Mission: C.I.²" is an interactive children's book inspired by the experience of living with cystic fibrosis, transforming it into a story that is uplifting, hopeful, and accessible to all children.
Through a story of imagination and love, children learn that there is always a way to overcome every challenge and that true strength—the Hidden Abilities—lies within us.
The story & the heroes
Chloe is a courageous, creative, and optimistic child who was born with an invisible condition: cystic fibrosis (CF), a challenge that isn’t always apparent but affects her daily life.
Guided by her best friend and companion, Kiri the kitten—leader of the Secret Mission—who encourages her to believe in herself and never give up, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery filled with puzzles, mysteries, colors, and hope for all children
The goal of this book is to help every child discover the Hidden Abilities (H.A.) that lie within them.
The children become “Secret Agents” and discover what it means to take care of themselves, ask for help when they need it, never give up, and always find the Boundless Breath.
The Message of the Book
"Secret Mission: K.I.²" is not just a story. It is a call for empathy, strength, and hope.
Taking cystic fibrosis as its starting point, the book addresses every challenge—visible or invisible —that a child might face: fears, questions, and also Hidden Abilities —the inner strengths they possess to overcome them.
It is a book that “breathes” along with the children and helps them realize that they can overcome any difficulty life may bring.
Connect with the Campaign
The book serves as the foundation of the educational campaign. Through activities, dramatic play, and creative exercises, teachers use its content to foster empathy, self-confidence, and knowledge in children.
The first book, “Secret Mission: C.I.” (2024), was originally created as an empowerment tool for children with cystic fibrosis and their families.
The positive response and the need for greater understanding led to the creation of the second book, *Secret Mission: K.I.²* (2025), with updated content. An educational universe born out of the Kystic Union, but intended for all children.
The story in the book becomes a dynamic educational tool that brings knowledge and firsthand understanding of cystic fibrosis and “hidden abilities” into schools and society.
From a book for a few children, *The Secret Mission* becomes a story for everyone.
