For educators
"The Secret Mission: C.I.²" is an educational campaign organized by the Panhellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association and author-illustrator Liana Denezaki.
It is intended for educators at all levels and introduces the concepts of empathy and acceptance into the classroom, using cystic fibrosis as a starting point —a chronic, often “invisible” disease that affects the daily lives of patients of all ages.
From this starting point, the experience of living with the disease becomes an educational tool that helps children understand every form of difficulty—visible or invisible— within the framework of Hidden Abilities.
The program is based on the book *Secret Mission: K.I.²*, the second edition of *Secret Mission*, which was designed as an educational tool for all children and the school community.
Through the children’s book and the teacher’s guide—which include creative activities and songs—teachers can help children understand concepts such as self-care, resilience in the face of challenges, and the value of giving life.
Educational Program Objectives
- Inform children about cystic fibrosis in a way that is understandable and positive.
- To foster empathy, inclusion, and acceptance of diversity in all its forms.
- Help children recognize their own "Classified Faculties" and boost their self-confidence.
- Connect health knowledge with the joy of experiential learning and creativity.
